Hey everyone,
I'm in college and just started using fountain pens. I got a Namiki vanishing point fountain pen with a medium nib and really like it. I've been using cartridges, but I want to try and use the converter and use a bottled ink. Is there a place that stands out that has quality ink (not too expensive) that a lot of people go to/like? Anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks a lot for any input. (Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place).

Pendemonium.com is one of many good places to buy ink. A bottle lasts a long, long time so ends up being much cheaper than cartridges.

As you use bottled ink, you will develop preferences and prejudices like the rest of us. There are a number of quality places to get ink on line, among them are Pendmonium, Swisher, and Peartree Pens.

If you are nyc, Art Brown. They are sweet, let you test it out of the bottle, and stock EVERYTHING. Paradise Pen is a great second choice if you are not in nyc. They are quite pleasant too.

Some ink like Quink may be carried in most stationery stores, especially if they have a Sanford display. Blue/Blue-Black is said to fade, but I'm quite satisfied with Permanent Black.

Thanks everyone. I found that there is a Paradise Pen about 1/2 hr away. I went there today and bought Waterman Red and Waterman Green.
