Went to Grand & Toy during lunch break and picked up a Waterman Phileas FP, blue-marble, M-nib. It came in an attractive blue Waterman box with the converter and one blue cartridge included.

I'm going to take it home after work and try some Diamine Jet Black in it. I didn't have much luck with the Diamine ink in my Lamy Accent; it became such a slow starter that I had to either have a cup of water sitting next to me, or I was striping my tongue with it after every 30-second pause. I'll post an update with my thoughts on the pen, my luck with the ink, and maybe a pic or two.

Have a good weekend, everyone!

Cheers,
A.J.

Have a great time with your new pen A.J. I have several Phileas pens that I use regularly. Let us know how it writes with the Diamine ink. /Craig

The Phileas is a good pen. I have a few. One of them goes to work with me most days. I've had no problems with mine using Waterman cartridges or Private Reserve inks in the converter. I hope you have as good luck with yours.

Great choice of pen. I really like those.

Great choice Ajaxline,

I own two Phileas mediums, one of which is my trusted everyday writer. I use it with Waterman's South Sea Blue. I'm sure you'll love your new pen. Do post some writing samples with the Diamine ink. I've been meaning to try that in my Sheaffer Legacy.
