Hi All,

I am new to this forum and look forward to learning from people that have been using and collection FP's much longer then myself. I have always been fascinated by fountain pens. I even used one in grade school when I was about 8 or so years old. I am 43 years old now. about 15 years ago my guitar teacher and boss at the time had purchased a Mont Blanc FP and I wanted one so bad but could not justify paying that price so I settled for a Waterman Expert. I recently found the Pen new in the box. I started using it two days ago and fell in love with using a fountain pen once again.

Right now I am using my Waterman as my every day pen and will dabble in the Chinese made pens... looking at Duke and Hero.

Welcome to FPN. Check out the Hero 100, it's a Chinese version (or salute, maybe) to the Parker 51. It has a hooded nib and is [usually] a good writer.

Welcome to FPN. I'll second the recommendation from penburg. I have one of the Hero 100's. It works well for me. You might consider giving it a try.
