I want to buy a chased black hard rubber Waterman's Ideal #52 fountain pen from the mid 1920s period. Must be the clipless cap model, full size, with a flexible fine nib. I want one without gold bands or name inscriptions, please.

Looking for a pen with really good black colour, plating and chasing, prefer gold plate on the lever-filler but nickel would also be of interest. Must be in good working order with no issues, no nib damage, no significant wear, cracks or chips.

If in the correct box, so much the better

Man, you missed a supersale of over 40 Waterman 52's including about 20 from the 1920's, some with no clips and fine nibs. I think the sale is over now but the member's name is docnib. Send him a PM and see if he has any left over. He runs a fountain pen store so just because he might not have any left over from that sale, he could have a few stored away.

BTW: I bought a 52 with clip from the 20's for $50 in very good condition and a 52 1/2 for $55 in excellent condition
