Without the opportunity to actually try these in hand, I must buy somewhat "hand unfelt". I am looking in the $200-400 range for something with a bit of size to it, and preferring a Broad or even Stub nib. I am actually most used to the weight of a gift MB Boheme Doue Rollerball, with my Pelikan M215 seeming a bit too narrow and light, causing me to fatigue more quickly.
I wind trying too hard to figure it all out, and have come up with a few more possibilities than answers:
Pelikan 805, Aurora Talentum, Omas Milord Black HT (those three speak to my aesthetic preferences), and the Omas Guilloche Ogiva, and Sailor 1911 (Music nib)-----But I have never tried any of them, nor their Broad or Stub/Music nibs. Any input would be appreciated.
And, of course, I may have to pony up for two pens instead of one, if I can figure out how to hide one from my wife...

I would buy a Pelikan M8xx from Richard Binder. No affiliation...
That way you can be sure your pen will write like a dream.

Pelikan or Sailor. There is a recent discussion on the merits of the two on this site. The opinion went with the Pelikan as did the buyer.

I always vote Pelikan. Best pens I've found for the money.

Any comments on the Broad Nibs of the Omas vs. Pelikan?
Or the Stub of the Aurora vs. the Music of the Sailor?
