Full Version: Sailor 1911/1911M Profit
The Fountain Pen Network > Regional Focus > Pens from the Land of the Rising Sun

Would someone please explain the difference between these Sailor pen designations? Dimensions may be helpful.

1911
1911M

From a discussion started in the For Sale section it has been established that the term Profit may be applied to either.

1911 = 1911 Profit
1911M = 1911M Profit

If this is incorrect what is the proper nomenclature.

Here are the 1911 model comparisons from their website, but this might make it even more confusing:

I always thought that "Profit" was a (possibly outdated) synonym of 1911. They seem to be used interchangeably, regardless of model size.

I think Profit=1911. None of their regular production pens are called 1911 in Japan.
