I am not a Waterman collector, so know little about these pens. I know that Waterman made pens based on Le Man 200 model with silver overlay over black resin they called "night and day". They also have one in gold overlay right? Is it done by solid gold, gold plate, or vermeil?

I have a Le Man 200 "day" with gold overlay on black resin. It's certainly not solid gold, but I don't know if it's plated or vermeil. If it were vermeil, it would be marked somewhere, right? I don't see a silver mark.

WATERMAN has made 2 models, 1 gold plated, the other sterling silver plated, not in vermeil or in sterling silver; J.M.L.
