If you cannot buy the nib you want, than I guess you have to send it off for re-grinding. Well, my new Sheaffer Legacy is off to Richard to have the nib made into an extra fine point.

I write small, and find that anything larger than an extra fine point is difficult to use, unless doing calligraphy. I wish Sheaffer would offer extra fine nibs.

The fairly recent Sheaffer Balance II pens with a fine nib were very fine indeed.

Another option is to purchase vintage Sheaffer pens, many (perhaps most) of which have very fine nibs.

Hi: I've been a fountain pen newbie, I bought a Sheaffer Calligraphy pen so I could use it at work and not be afraid of losing it... it's been absolutely great! I actually wish that I could find a real pen with a similar fine-sized oblique nib... does anyone have any idea how to go about finding one?

Do what I did, go to richardspens.com and have your nib customized to meet your needs.
