As for the Sheaffer Award, the nib is the same as in that used in the Javelin and the Prelude.

From my experience: the steel nib is stiff, and has a bit of tooth. No flow problems. The pen is very forgiving of how you hold it when writing, probably because the tip seems rounder than others.

It's a good all-rounder, and I especially like the girth. Am letting it go 'cos I've discovered I like the feel of plastic barrels more than metal ones.
