I have a blue m605 and when I looked at it this evening, I noticed that it has a lot of little small scratch marks on the barrel and cap. (On the plastic, not on the metal trim.) Do all Pelikan's do this? Or are the colored ones, like my blue m605, made of softer material?

And secondly, what product do you folks all use to buff out small scratches on a plastic pen like a Pelikan?

Thanks,

To buff out the scratches, you must use a good polish. I sell Tryphon polish and MicroGloss polish on my website. They are used by some of the leading pen restorers and are safe for celluloid, rhodoid, acrylic and thermoplastic pens.
They should work very well on your Pelikan.

IT seems that black acrylic just colects little 'drawer wear' scratches. I can't remember celluloid or marbled acrylic showing it as much ( they might get the same amount just can't see it as well as a solid background).

I'll recommend Tryphon products, in this specific case, the polishes. All of the bindes that I make are polished with Giovanni's products. I only wish that it came in gallon containers. biggrin.gif
