Okay, I got completely sucked into the Custom 823 vs. 845 discussion. my question is, who is the best source for these? I just can't find a nib fine enough without visiting a nibmeister, and I know Pilot pens have very fine nibs available. All I see from US importers are VPs and $6000 maki-e pens. Is there a US-friendly Japanese website out there?

Try Japan Ujuku Shop, engeika on eBay, or pensinasia. Usual disclaimer - I am not affiliated with any of these sellers.
