Hello all -

My name is A.J. Axline, and I make my home in Edmonton, Canada. By day, I am a technical writer creating user help systems and software documentation. By night, I am a freelance writer who has published one book on Lulu.com, and who has otherwise been a fairly active writer over the last two decades.

My online home is The Chaos Jester, where you can find a more complete bio, as well as various strange, late night writings. Many of these writings start out as longhand musings in one of my favorite Paperblank or Moleskin notebooks, written with one of my four Lamy pens:

- Safari 2007 White (sp.ed. color)
- Vista transparent
- AL Star Graphite
- Accent - matte black w/aluminum grip, the star of my collection (so far)

I am new to the world of fountain pens and inks. My first pen was the AL Star Graphite (medium nib), and I immediately grew to appreciate the Lamy design and function. I started looking around the web at various stores and sites, and found a great store in my home town. I bought the other three pens in my collection, and then forced myself to stop before my creditors came after me with torches.

I love all of the tools of writing, and the discovery of fine writing instruments has been just another great development in my experience as a writer. When I came across the FPN site and spent some time lurking through some threads, I knew that I had to sign on as a member and try to occasionally participate.

So, that's me in a posted nutshell. Hello again, and I look forward to being a part of FPN!

Cheers,
A.J. Axline

Welcome! I'm glad to hear there are some nice pen stores in your area (not that I get to Edmonton frequently).

Welcome, you can resist for a while but not for long. If you want to avoid buying pens you are in the wrong place.

Enjoy the forums

As andyk said, more you read pen reviews, more you want to buy the pen, just to testrun it. Today I bought a Waterman CF just because here they said you got to have it. smile.gif

Welcome! The look of your website is lovely!. Very attractive. If you think you've got "expensive German made fountain pens", wait till you're in this forum 3 months and come back and tell us what you've got........Terribly addictive, you're warned! smile.gif

Hail & well met! It sounds as though your pens see lots of useful exercise; may your nibs never run dry.
