I am looking for original No Nonsense pens, that is before they introduced the sponge grip model, I would like in the following colors if possible. WHITE. GREEN. BROWN. PURPLE.PINK. and I believe that there is even a Black with some kind of motif around the cap. I dont know if there is a PINK. or not. Maybe someone can list the whole range for me, I would be very obliged as I just love them.

Hi oneill,
I'm a big fan of the NoNonsense pens (NNs, we call 'em), too! biggrin.gif

There is a really good article on them here: http://penhero.com/PenGallery/Sheaffer/She...rNoNonsense.htm
In addition to the colours you listed, there are also solid-coloured NNs in:
Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, an Orangey-Yellow (sort of like a Cadmium Yellow shade), Tan and Burgundy(and perhaps more shades than that). I have all of those and am just lacking the Purple. My Pink NN has a silvery insert on the cap top and I bought the pen from the folks at http://www.ateliergargoyle.com/ at the 2007 Portland Pen Show. Not sure if they have any more, but you can try getting in touch with them.

The black NN that you mentioned with the motif actually came in at least two such motifs, one is a sort of Celtic chain design and the other a scroll-type one (picture here: http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/in...howtopic=44067).

There is also a plain black NN and of course, the NN ballpoints could easily be converted to fountain pens by switching out the ballpoint section for a fountain pen section. The spring inside the ballpoint would have to be removed with a pair of tweezers in order for the Sheaffer cartridge to fit without putting stress on the section. I have an NN made for the 1776 US Bicentennial but it was a ballpoint before I converted it to a fountain pen. There are quite a few NN ballpoint designs out there, as many were seemingly made for advertising purposes...

As you can see from the Penhero.com article above, there are other NN models as well, including the clear coloured "Viewpoint" NNs (I have clear Blue, Green, Smoke (grey), and Purple), the Stainless Steel NN, the Vintage line with gold-plated nibs and furniture (clips, cap rings, cap insert) and the black chased plastic "Old Timer" NN. Oh, there are also the NoNonsense "Jellies" (semi-opaque shimmery-coloured NNs), but I don't own one yet; Jon (Univer) knows more about them than I do as he owns at least one wink.gif

You're very welcome, Bryan. I got a few of my NNs (NoNonsense pens) from eBay sales. Try looking for auctions with "Sheaffer" and "italic" as keywords in the auction description, as many of the pens have italic nibs on them. Good luck!
