Sure wish I had one!

yup, these are the only LE pens I've ever seen that actually had me contemplating trying to buy one. But i'd want it in celluloid, not the metal.
Richard
Disclaimer: I'm a Pelikan retailer.

They're very nice pens, if you enjoy spending huge sums of money. For less than the price of a 1935 you can get a superb vintage 100, and the nib on that pen will run rings around the one on the modern pen. (The voice of experience speaketh here; I've sold a couple of 1935s, and they were -- as I said at the outset -- very nice. But the nib on my 100 outshines any OOTB modern Pel nib I've ever handled.)

I 'spect MarkVB will be along to post better pix; he has some vintage Pels to die for. drool.gif

yeah but... smile.gif

it's the color of that modern LE that I like most - actually, it's the blue I like which isn't shown here. Were there any vintage 100s in blue? I do love the 100. And the vintage 400s. and 140s. and 120s. and... smile.gif

I like this one, too! And it will not break the bank at a RRP of $185!

HAHA....

Giovanni,

I just PMed you about the status of the Silvia without even seeing this post. I didn't want to start a whole new post to ask the question, but I suppose this would have been easier.

Odd coincidence!

So, any update on the pen's release?

Hi KCat,

Yes, there were vintage 100's in blue (and also green and coral). They're pricey nowadays and make these modern replicas look inexpensive. At one point in time I wanted a coral 100 so bad that I made one. wink.gif

That's a lovely looking pen, Chris. Beautiful colour combination...Very classy..... smile.gif

Those are lovely indeed. Pardon my ignorance here about vintage pens, but who are some of the more popular web sites that sell these sorts of pens, other than eBay?

From reading posts here, I'm learning that some of our members here are in the vintage pen business.

Has anyone here published a whos-who at FPN? That might be useful for some of us rookies who weren't with this forum from the start.

Of course. That would be the case.

Well, someday you may get my business if I ever can afford a 100 that needs a new binde. In blue of course.
