Full Version: The persistence of Manhattan Blue

I have this persistent problem with Noodler's Manhattan Blue...when I flush the pen, it flushes out of the piston/converter easily, but it seems to linger at the base of the section, where the nib unit actually joins the section.

I flush the converter, and the water is clear. However, when I shake the pen out with a tissue over the nib, there's still scads of blue coming out. I've tried the 1/10 ammonia/water solution, with an overnight soak, but still no luck. I love the ink, but I'm hesitant to keep using it if it's accumulating inside the pen.

I've not come across this problem with any other ink, either Noodler's or other brands. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,

Slippy

What make and brand of pen are you experiencing this with?

So far, with a Parker Sonnet and a Cross Townsend, both converter fillers.

Purges right out of my M200, but I have the ability to remove the nib section
