For those interested in improving your handwriting I recommend examining your handwriting with a good hand lens. I recently analyzed my own and made some eye opening discoveries:
I don't always close my letters, my final stroke at the end of a word varies in length and is sometimes non-existent, and the dots for my letter i and horizontal stroke for the letter t are to the right of the letters. I knew about the latter, but was unaware of the other issues.
It's amazing how such small adjustments can contribute to a better looking handwriting, and sometimes it is just a matter of knowing what to correct.
