Hello to all. My husband Jay & I just opened a new pen shop in Scottsdale on December 1st. I just found this forum today. We've got a website and we just created our first blog today on blogger.com. We'd like you all to come by and visit if you are ever our way. We look forward to meeting you.

Lifesaver,
We opened the store because we are addicted ourselves. Couldn't find the variety we wanted to have here in town anymore, so we opened the store.
So far the response here has been very encouraging. We are just waiting for everyone to find us. We've got an ad coming out in Stylus in the April/May issue and Dr. Stephen Herman who writes articles for them sometimes came by to visit with us on Christams Eve.
Our website is a constant work in progress and keeps growing on a weekly basis as we add new things in. We were overwhelmed building the refills pages last week as Monteverde sent us a huge box that had to be processed.
Does anyone know anything about blogs? We started one today and we're not sure what to do with it from here. Any suggestions would help. The address is

Just visited the shop today. They had a very nice selection of pens. Had some nice paper, (including Rhodia,) and inks, (including Noodlers and Private reserve.) Lots of ballpoints and rollerballs and refills.
The owner was very willing to let me handle the pens and answered my questions the best she could. I got the feeling her Husband (who had thrown out his back and wasnt there,) was the fountain pen guy. She was very nice and generous with her time. No affiiation, peace,

Hello Karen and welcome to the FPN. One of these days I need to come out and see my cousin in Scotsdale, and visit your pen shop. Do you carry a wide selection of inks?

O'Fallon is only about 160 miles or so from Peoria (Illinois). I deduce that if you are in the Air Force, as indicated by your avatar, that you are at Glenview Air Station. Is that correct?

Donnie,
No, I'm stationed at Scott AFB...The Peoria I was referring to in my post to Karen is Peoria, AZ, a suburb on the other side of Phoenix from Scottsdale.

I looked on a map, and O'Fallon is about midway between Scott & Glenview, so my 50/50 guess lost. I should have taken into account that Scott is an AFB and Glenview is an NAS. I knew about Peoria AZ, from living in San Diego. People talked about Padres doing spring training in Peoria, and I asked why on earth they would go to northern Illinois to do spring training. I was quickly informed about Peoria AZ.
Scott AFB is about 120 miles from the down where I grew up, 20 miles south of Carbondale, home of SIU. Probably dating myself to mention that Elgin Baylor graduated from SIU, as did Larry Kristoff.
Elgin Baylor was a forward for the Lakers from 1958 to 1972, (last of the undersized forwards in the NBA) and Larry Kristoff was a US Olympic heavyweight wrestler in 1964.
