What do you think? It looks like a beauty of a pen, imagining it in real life. He mentions a footing problem (?) and says the bladder doesn't work (if this is a piston filler, are they hard to fix?).

What would be a reasonable offer? Feel free to take it if you're in New York.

I have no idea what a reasonable offer would be. From the description, it is a "fixer upper". Whatever offer you make, I would keep that in mind.

Posting the details and source of the listing (or, worse, a link) is a sure way to end up seeing some lurker snatch up your prospective bargain. I hope that doesn't happen to you, but I've seen it happen before here.

I know, that's why I added the "feel free to take it". I made an offer, if someone makes a higher offer I won't regret losing it.

Speaking of, I just got a reply. It seems to be a limited edition and was quoted at $2000 working. He's looking for a more reasonable offer. I'm a student! Snatch at will.

I feel like I posted this in the wrong forum. I apologize if I did.

I am a big MB fan but I dont know this model.
If I wanted to take this pen (and I dont) I would offer 120$-150 tops !!!

Of course if I knew what model it is I would concider the offer according to my knolage.

The photos are so lousy you can't really tell WHAT it is. headsmack.gif

It's too big a risk to invest any major money in it. I wonder how many times people deliberately post blurry photos...

I think you are correct. But sometimes I like to take chances and so far I was never wrong.
I found few pens with blury pictures and they all truned to be good pens and excellent deals.
But I always take into concideration it might be a lemon.
By the way the one pen with the worst picture was snatched under my fingers about a year ago.I found a Parker 51 DJ Mustand.I put a bid of 100$ and because you couldnt make out much out of the picture I was sure I will stike a good dealbut alas it was sold for 300$.

The pics don't have enough detail to really say what the pen is ( can't see the flake in any of them although there might be striations or just loss of focus!) I would back away and not feel bad about it.

I was just thinking the same thing.
