Full Version: Noodler's Bay State Blue: Nib creep?

Does it creep?
Aggressively on metal-surface nibs (no lacquer, no enamel, no plastic), like Luxury Blue does?
Mildly on metal-surface nibs, like the standard Black and partly waterproof colors?

Noodler's nib creep is usually not a problem for me. I have taken measures in order to keep using Lux Blue, though.

I've only had it in a Pilot vanishing point. So far (about 3/4 of a cartridge full), no creep.

the steel nib of the Platinum Preppy ED and the 18 K nib of Bexley FPN LE don't show any nib creep at all.
So far the ink is very well behaved with good flow and not so terrible feathering.

It looks to me like my new Heart of Darkness and my Baystate Blue are both showing only minimal creep so far. They're definitely not as prone to it as Legal Lapis is.

No nib creep. But I do see mild section creep. I think it may just be me though.

Does it creep?

Not that I've seen so far - and I've tried 8 pens so far.

Maybe you have a leaky pen?. I've never seen section creep.

Larry, that's good to know. I plan on putting BSB (when it arrives next week) in my blue Lamy Studio. I'm thinking the ink will compliment the pen color. Is yours also blue? If so, am I right?

I have a matte black Studio. I just bought it last week from James at Pear Tree. I did some journalling with it over the past few days, and I am very impressed with the pen and the ink. The journal I'm using is a cheapy from Border's, the paper is a little thin, but the BSB isn't feathering at all. Very little bleed through either, I could write on the back of the page if I wanted to.

BSB is a very pretty, neutral blue. It should compliment all but the darkest blue pen.
