On a different thread, the ease of exchanging the nibs of the Sailor Mini was addressed. Does anyone know if the same is true for the Pilot Custom 98? Can they be pulled out and replaced without much difficulty?

I don't know about Custom98 because I don't have one, but Custom Legance and Prera nibs pull straight out.

Yes they do - I just tested mine and it pulled straight out (no twist) with very little difficulty! The nib is also keyed to the feed.

Ahh, very good question! My last Custom 98 nib came attached to a red barrel and cap.
