The NIBS part alone are very expensive, it is perhaps better to buy a PHILEAS Fountain-Pen with a Fine nib, it is aproximatively the same price and you can get the pen for free, J.M.L.

Back to my question about the nib, how fine is the Phileas fine nib, say, in comparison to a Shaeffer Feather Touch 5 in terms of line width? I have one of those and it leaves just the line thickness I like. I've seen other comments that a Waterman Phileas fine nib is similar to other manufacturer's medium nibs. Would it make better sense to try an extra fine? Is it a fairly robust nib, suitable for everyday use?
