CHICAGO PEN SHOW NEWS - The 2008 Chicago Pen Show sponsored by KRONE, has its updated web site running at www.chicagopenshow.com. And while we are still working on the schedule and some other items, we are pleased to announce that this year’s show will feature a Parts and vintage pen repair tool auction starting on Friday night. We also will once again feature the pizza party on Thursday night, a dessert party on Saturday night and various seminar/workshops on Saturday.
We are excited to have Krone back as our main sponsor again this year. We are also excited to have Gregory H. Sachs and Stylus back as major sponsors along with Jimmy Dolive’s Total Office Products, the PCA, Judd Perlson’s Auction Sales, Pendemonium.com and Ed Hamilton’s Century Pens. And we are pleased to have the PCA with Linda Bauer holding the Pens for Kids program on Sunday morning. This is a great way of influencing the next generation of pen collectors and users.
We are still seeking additional sponsors and as they are signed up announcements will be made on our web site and on various pen boards. Anyone interested in a sponsorship position please contact Don, Dan or Mike.
To register for a TABLE please go to the home page, click on the Table Registration button, fill out the form and send it in with a check. NOTE - ONLY THOSE DEALERS WHO HAD WALL TABLES IN 2007 WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THEIR WALL SPACE IN 2008. We will have a waiting list available for anyone desiring a wall space who was not on our list from last year.
To register for attending the show in advance, go to the home page, click on the Registration form, merely print it out, fill it in and send it in with your check.
To register for a hotel room at our special show rate, click on the Hotel heading and click on the Westin button. Note - that the url from last year is inactive and our web master, Donal Higgins, is placing the new url on site shortly so don’t be concerned if you click on the site and it comes up empty. Merely try again later.
As the show gets closer we will continue to update the site and provide everyone with more information on the parts and tools to be auctioned off as well as additional events to be held during the show. We look forward to having another great show and hope that many of you can join us. Don
