Baron is the name of the kit that the pens were made from, not the person who manufactured the pen.

If you would like to see some REALLY nice handmade pens look at bgray's website. His link is at the bottom of his post. Absolutely awesome.

I am another "Pen Crafter", along with several others here, bgray, old griz, etc. The "Baron" pens shown on yoour link to ebay are pretty good value, as they are being sold at nearly the cost of materials. However, like everything else in life, the devil is in the details. If you look closely at the shape of the turned pen barrel (the part above the section) it has a fairly large bow to it. WHile this may or may not appeal to your esthetic values, it adds a lot of weight to the wirng end of the pen, unbalancing it, and making it uncomfortable to write with. I shape mine a lot straighter than these, with closer tolerances to fitting the parts, and then spend a LOT more time and effort in polishing and finishing the pen.

Other than that, these pens do write very well and are some of the smoothest steel nibs you will ever use.
