Hi All. My addiction started a couple months ago with a Lamy Studio, and I added soon thereafter a restored user-grade black P51 vac with banged up lustraloy cap, missing it's blue gem. It feels like an XF, and while I love the ink flow and feel of it, the nib feels something akin to dragging a needle across paper. It's just too fine for me, while my Lamy Studio is a little too fat in the nib for me. The cap on the P51 is dinged up enough that in the work setting, it's a little bit of an eye sore. I just ordered a medium nib Parker 100, but just have to have a gen-u-wine P51 vacumatic with a fine or medium SMOOTH nib, and most importantly, a nice gold fill cap that is in good shape, complete with blue diamond. I see some of the high-end restorers out there with such pens listed on their sites at pretty high prices, but would want to keep this purchase under $150.00. If anyone has a pen to fit the bill here, please either respond here or send me an email at ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net.
Thanks all, and damn you all for hooking me on these wonderful little devices!
Chris
