This topic came too many times and I think the easiest is to go to
http://www.penhero.com/PenBookmarks.htmI found most the pen dellers here.
Some of the links are dead but most of them are good.

I think people will readily suggest people they have had good experiences with. When people have had bad experiences... that's when it gets dicey talking about stuff on a open forum. Tempers flare and people get defensive. It takes two to tango... sometimes it's the vendor, sometimes it's the crackpot customers.
I have no qualms recommending Richard Binder, Ron Zorn, Aaron Svabik of Pentiques, David Isaacson, Stuart Hawkinson, Sherell Tyree, Lee Chait & Lih-Tah Wong, Chuck Swisher, and a host of people whose names I am drawing a blank on. And there are a host of people I have never done business with who I would not hesitate to do business with that I have either met at pen shows or who have been highly recommended by people I trust to know what they are talking about.
I suggest the best course of action is if you have found someone you are interested in some feedback on, post their name and ask for backchannel or PM feedback.
If there is something in particular you are looking for in a repair person/dealer, i.e. a specialist in X item, fast turnaround, location, presence at shows, etc... post your need and we will do out best to steer you to those people who might be able to serve you best.
Gary Lehrer is great, Rick Propas as well. The longer I think, the more names pop into my head.

Hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself for those of you who are not familiar with Pentiques.com.
My name is Aaron Svabik. I began collecting back in 1997. Back in the good old days when an Esterbrook could fetch $90 on this site called Ebay. Pentiques.com was launched in January of 2000. We began growing slowly and staying somewhat under the radar attending mainly Columbus and Detroit Shows as weekend traders. As you can see, my involvement with FPN and Pentrace is relatively new.
I spent 13 years in local government and moved on to technology sales, building Pentiques.com in the evenings and weekends. In April of 2007, I was driving back from a sales call thinking about the backlog of repairs and the time I would miss with my family. I pulled into a parking lot and called Kim. We agreed something had to give. She reminded me of the magazine snipet on the fridge, "Make you Passion your Paycheck." So I resigned. If you have ever met Kim you know what an excetional person she is, but for a person who put her career on pause to be a mom and then encourage her husband to take a huge risk to be happy is extraordinary!
We hit the ground running with the Chicago Show where we made a significant investment in parts. We started the Pen Show Circuit meeting people and doing On-Site Repairs. We started the NEO-Penn Club (Northeast Ohio - Pennsylvania) which is growing fast! "The Kim" is now the Membership Coordinator with the PCA - if you stray too close to the PCA table at a show, you will walk away a PCA Member. She's a closer! Seriously, join the PCA...
In January, I had the opportunity and pleasure to study with Lynn Sorgatz. My passion is complex and intricate repairs and I am rapidly moving in that direction. Replacing overlays, making parts - especially hard rubber caps - fun stuff like that!
We have always advertised "One Week Turnaround" and this still holds true for the most part. Sometimes it runs two weeks, especially after a Show.
As mentioned in this thread, there are a number of gifted repair persons out there for you to choose from. I have learned a lot from many of them.
I want you to know there is another.
This is who we are. We hope to earn your business.
Respectfully,
Aaron & Kim Svabik

For those of you who don't know the name Lynn Sorgatz, Lynn was a mechanic for Parker for many years. Today he makes custom pens, and takes on repairs that few others can do. When Lynn goes to a show, he doesn't just go to a show, he holds "court" as the king of advanced pen repair. Not only does he do amazing repairs, he's very generous with sharing and teaching his repair knowlege. I had a chance to spend some time with Lynn in his shop just under a year ago. An amazingly generous, kind and skilled individual.
