Does anyone make an attractive pen rack out of wood or other material with the same function as those clear acrylic racks, to keep pens inked with nibs up? I am aware that pipe racks can work, but I could fit many pens in the linear space designed for a just a couple of pipes. I've seen the test-tube rack sold by Tryphon, which is about the closest to what I want.

If you go here you will find pages upon pages of racks of all sizes and shapes, originally made for test tubes. Shipping is $9.95 or so, and there is a minimum order, but I have bought lab equipment and chemicals from them (when I was a chemistry teacher) and they ship promptly.

Woodturningz.com offers an 11 pen rosewood pen stand for about $5. I got two of them from them. There is some assembly required. I'd suggest a dab of wood glue on the ends of the pillars to stabilize the whole assembly. For the price, they are not bad, though.

Many folks use Pipe racks as well. Something like this..

These 11-pen racks are exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you!!

Edited to add a link to their photo. They are out of stock, but if ordered on the phone, they will ship immediately upon receipt of new inventory in two weeks. Oh, and the price has increased. Such is life.
