Several years ago I spotted this case in an antique mall in Toledo. At that time the owner was using it in a booth to display small objects like jewelry and in spite of repeated attempts, was not interested in parting with it. Then the mall closed and the case disappeared. It just surfaced last month in a new place, but this time I was able to buy it from the owner.
It took about 4 hours of cleaning to get rid of 80 or 90 years of grime, but all is perfect including the original velvet. The only thing replaced were the orighinal plugs (one for each light) that were pretty scarey looking.
The dimenseions are 30"X30"X40" high. It has mirrored sliding doors on the back and two storage drawers the open from the back. A great place to display some of my antique Sheaffer pens and other writing paraphernalia.
I am still looking for a small table top Sheaffer display. I saw one many years ago, but foolishly let it get away.

Beautiful case, Caspirin. I'd be tickled to land one like that without bankrupting my hobby account.
I'm trying to think of an antique mall that closed in Toledo. Was it a big one downtown? There was one (I think it was called Uptown Antique Mall) that converted itself into some repro store.
Anyhow, the case is a nice addition.
Enjoy!

Wow! What a great case! I would love to have something like that one day. Is that a mint TM Touchdown Crest in there? What a great set!
