Hi folks,

I am not so experienced in the world of Wahl pens, since I have mostly Sheaffers and Watermans. However, I love flex nibs and hear that Wahls have some of the best. What models and time period had the best flexible Wahl nibs? And I'm talking about "real deal" flex - fine to 2mm or broader. What do you think?

Best,

I think that each nib is different.

I like Skyline flex nibs, but i don't push my nibs as much as you might. I've also enjoyed the flex nibs on the older Wahls. The one Doric flexible nib that i tried wasn't all that flexible.

The two Wahls I've owned were flex nibs. Gave one away; the other, a Skyline, is still in my collection. Very nice, both of 'em. What exactly are you asking?

I have a Wahl #3 nib that is by far the best flex nib I have ever owned. These are the nibs that would have been in mostly the earlier pens... not as late as Skylines. Even the celluloid pens seem to have flexible nibs that are more rigid than the earlier ones. I have a ton of Waterman nibs and they are no slouches, but the early Wahl nibs are sweet.
