My Grandfather Frank Jarvis founded the Conway Stewart pen company.

Wow, I wish I had such a famous grandpa! My grandfather was a humble salmonfisher... sad.gif

Thinking of it; when you are hungry, you won't have much use of a FP.

Otherwise; has anyone tried to write with a salmon.... laugh.gif

Greetings Lomond.

With that one liner as an intro, I'm not sure whether you're seeking approbation or forgiveness. tongue.gif Just Kidding! biggrin.gif

Do you consider yourself a FP enthusiast? Collector, user or both?

Enjoy the group and jump right in. smile.gif

cool.gif . You've got a great FP lineage - how are you carrying it on - meaning, do you use FPs, and if so, whatcha got? Any CSs?

Did you have any involvement with CS other than family affiliation (work there, etc.)? I'm guessing when you were growing up you you likely visited Grandpa at work. What was that like?

(BTW, I don't mean to be nosey, but it is very fascinating that your Grandpa started the company and I would just like to hear more. If you consider it an intrusion, please forgive me and ignore the request.)

Welcome to the FPNuthouse! Hope you stick around and enjoy the place.

There's a brief history here - http://www.csvpens.co.uk/page5.html

Lomond, that's certainly the way to make an entrance. I hope you'll tell us more.

Ditto....and welcome to FPN! biggrin.gif

Hi Lomond,

Welcome to FPN. It is a pleasure to have you among us.
There is a small group in FPN that is very much interested in the Esterbrook Relief pens that were apparently made by CS in England in 20s and 30s. We would love to hear from you if you have any info. Just check the Esterbrook Forum.
