Hello. I joined because I have begun a small collection of Parker 45s, and want to poke around to learn more about pens and their care and feeding. My interest began when my mother bought me one of these, probably in 1973, before I went off to do field research in anthropology. I wanted something special and permanent for my notes. That one is still in service, but I need to know a lot more about how to refurbish it and stop those annoying leaks.

Hi Carol, I have fond memories of Chicago after a stopover at NAS Glenview a good few years back.
You'll find stacks of advice here but if you have a particular repair question then the Repair forum would be good and specifically for Parkers the Parker forum will be able to help.
Have a good mooch around and enjoy!

Carol, that is very cool. I am interested in these cultures. One of my other interests is collecting Zuni (and some other) fetish carvings.
