I am old enough to have used pen holders and nibs while being taught penmanship in elemenatry school and during my youth and teens , had a variety of founatin pens. It appears from what I've been reading on this board, I should have saved them.
Believing that what is old is new again, I have gone back to using founatin pens (as well as some old Gillette double edged razors for shaving). I have begun to resent the disposable consumerism of many things today and a fountain pen seems to be the logical alternative.
While I'm not as knowledgeable as many on this board, I do hope to be able to contribute in a meaningful way as time goes on.
As an aside, I frequent many other boards and this is one of the few that are very civil and courteous in both the postings and the responses.
