After "lurking" here for a while, I registered and have quite enjoyed viewing and responding to a few posts.

I am old enough to have used pen holders and nibs while being taught penmanship in elemenatry school and during my youth and teens , had a variety of founatin pens. It appears from what I've been reading on this board, I should have saved them. crybaby.gif

Believing that what is old is new again, I have gone back to using founatin pens (as well as some old Gillette double edged razors for shaving). I have begun to resent the disposable consumerism of many things today and a fountain pen seems to be the logical alternative.

While I'm not as knowledgeable as many on this board, I do hope to be able to contribute in a meaningful way as time goes on.

As an aside, I frequent many other boards and this is one of the few that are very civil and courteous in both the postings and the responses.

Regards

Welcome to FPN, Milton!
The fountain pen community is, as a whole, very generous and kind. What could be moneymaking knowledge is regularly offerred up for the benefit of any who are interested. It is an added joy to interact with such wonderful people.

Glad you found us, Milton. "Disposable consumerism" I like that. This whole FP hobby just flies right in the face of all that doesn't it? Just a slight "up yours" to the ever-creeping flow of technologies' grip on our societies' mindset.
