Hi All

My name is Vern, and I'm a penaholic.

I've been writing with a fountain pen for 15 years now, and can't imagine going back.

I've got a very a small collection, a Sheaffer Prelude in chrome, a Pelican M400 in White/Tortiseshell, and vintage Duofold (in pieces as of yet, waiting for my pen repair skills to improve) and my latest, a Parker 61 Flighter with capillary fill.

Yours

Howdy Vern!

From one penaholic to another, welcome to the FPNuthouse. Probably not the best place for a penaholic if you're actually seeking a cure, but . . . . no one I know here is really seeking a cure, so it works out.

Don't think any of us could go back to bic sticks - FPs are sooooooooooo much better.

Where ya from?
Roger
Hi Vern,

Now, let's count...you have three working fountain pens and one on the bench. That's sufficient to last the rest of your days and write everything that is not committed to the word processor. Quite enough, don't you think?

No?... Ok Vern, now you're one of us! Welcome! laugh.gif

Hi Vern and welcome to FPN! biggrin.gif

Is your vintage Duofold broken...or does it merely need resacking and thus is "in pieces" ? unsure.gif Duofolds are really easy to resac, actually....You just need a scraper to scrape off old sac remnants (if there are any), the proper size of ink sac, some shellac/sac sealant and some pure talc powder. smile.gif

Howdy Vern! and welcome to the FPN!! biggrin.gif You will find that we are the farthest thing from a cure, but a boost to your addiction. Pull up a chair and enjoy a lot of good company here.
