Have just returned from the Glendale Galleria's MB Boutique. They let me write there with all their pens and nibs inked, seducers! And I can't forget the way that the M-nib Mozart made me feel. I think I will have dreams about it all the night. And I had never expected such outstanding performance from such a small pen. It looks like the size doesn't matter after all.

I have EF Purple Generation and B Meisterstuck 145, and love them both totally (but differently). Now, the Mozart is coming in my life - at first touch. Anyone who owns this pen, please tell me what to expect from it in the long run, before I run into trouble, if such thing is ever possible with the gentle lovely amusing sensual wonderful divine silky-smooth... blah-blah-blah... Mozart.

I love mine. One of my favorite features is how the cap screws on to the barrel when you post it.

That's really nice to hear. Is yours M?

Cute pen but too small for my hands. (And that's saying something!)

I want one of the gold/malachite chatelaine ones.

(He's long out, but one can lust anyway, right?)

Oh, my gosh, that's one amazing piece of jewelry that I would be wearing to the rest of my life!!!

Great pen. Mine is a M nib, several years old, carried everyday and no problems. It now has one small cosmetic flaw..er.. I mean character mark. A small chip in the cap right at the edge of the snow cap where I drooped it (on a concrete floor) a couple of years ago. Although it worked fine on cartridges, I modded a converter to fit it.

Nope, it's a fine nib

The Mozart is one of my all time favs. Don't know why ... don't care. I'm a black and gold with fine point kind of guy. BTW: one of my biggest mistakes was to not pick up the limited editions (malachite, coral, and lapis) when I had the chance. Also, the BP is quite good and very handy. I also like the Mozart wallet.

With all due respect to Herr Mozart, I wonder why they named such a small pen after him? Was he of small stature?

Maybe, just to send a message to the world that you can't measure a genius, that some exceptional quality can be found in very small things...

But honestly, I am curious about it too.

After putting up that post, it occurred to me that maybe the small size of the Mozart pen has to do with the fact that, among other things, he was a child prodigy. And so the pen is sized for a child/smaller hand...?

That's so sad and beautiful in the same time, so poignant...

I need to have it. To remind myself of his short life, the size of which does not matter for the immortal flow of his music and the way it touches our souls.

Just like that fountain pen I tried at MB Boutique. It was Mozart playing somewhere inside of my body.

You people are good! Thank you very much.

Steve,

Your character mark makes your pen special. No one has exactly the same like yours. That feels good.

What kind of a converter did you fit in your Mozart? I like to use some designer inks that does not come in cartridges.

It's a Monteverda converter for one of their short pens. The only mod was to trim the diameter of end of the piston rod. There is a small "bump" intended to be used as a grip. This "bump" does not fit in the barrel of the Mozart pen. I used a pen knife to trim off the bump. I'll post a photo as soon as I figure out how to do it.

I have often wondered why the Mozart was so small. Mozart was a child prodigy and he did die young (in his 30s, wasn't it?). I would imagine that's why the pen is that small.

Here we are...

1756-1791 - Died age 35.

Thanks, I was thinking about Monteverde converters to fit in my Padrino and KawecoSport. It will be interesting to see your photo.
