Well, the Sapporo and the 1911 have the same basic nibs, but quite different bodies. Which look do you like better?
Personally, as I've said here about 10 times before, I think the look of the Sapporo is infinitely better, because it is unique to Sailor (whereas the 1911 is an imitation of the MB torpedo shape), and because the flat-top allows for the beautiful anchor display.
But it's really a matter of taste.
I have both the Sapporo and the 1911M and I too prefer the look of the Sapporo for the same reasons QM2 said above. The 1911M is also just a wee bit longer, because of the cone shaped ends. But really the writing experience is similar, so if you prefer the torpedo shape go for the 1911M.
I have a fine nib on my Sapporo - it's not my preferred note-taking pen for when I want to write large (as in lecture notes that I'll have to read later - I prefer a larger nib for that) but I like it for journalling and marginalia. I haven't used it for drawing but I think it would work well for that as well.
