Most of the info is included in the text. The scan was on an HP G4050 using VueScan and processed in Photoshop CS3. The scan was at 1200 dpi. The crops are at full resolution while the whole page was reduced to 200 dpi.
The full crops show how the Noodlers and Swisher inks feather significantly more than the others.

Great scan.. thanks! It just reinforces my wish to get a bottle of PR Black Cherry. Or Noodlers Tiananmen.. or both.

I love your taste in ink...
I thought I was satiated with ink, but now I have to look into that Jentle Red-Brown. It really stands out to me as the nicest...
And thanks for the cropped closeups... That's really so helpful!!!

Nice job!!! I have to agree with Melnicki that the cropped closeups are really helpful! Thanks for doing the comparisons.

Beautiful choices - earth colors are my favorites, and I have most of these gorgeous inks.

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into this comparison.
I also like your taste in ink color. I am also into "earthy" colors, and these are some fine examples. Herbin's Orange Indien has been one of my favorite fun inks for many years. I have tried all the other inks except the Private Reserve ones and I like them a great deal.
I like the Terre de Feu very much and I am using it quite a bit. I am still wondering how to qualify it. Being a reddish brown, is it not a shade of "sepia?" That term "sepia" has such a broad range of definition, while I have such a restricted ability to discern color, that it drives me to distraction. Still, whatever its character, I continue to like the Terre de Feu.

Oh - very nice, evertime I think I have enough inks I then see some more I want...
