Thank you. smile.gif

I just recently received a bottle of Zhivago that I haven't used yet, and my wish list includes Air Corps Blue Black and the Ellis Island. Looking forward to using all of them.

Thanks Kurt.

I'm a little surprised at the amount of feathering of the Swisher. Probably not an ink I'll get considering there was minimal feathering with all of the other inks on the same paper.

What is your perception of the EI before and after shaking? Hard to tell from the scan, the colors are pretty close, but it does look a little lighter/bluer/grayer?

I really like the Marteau. Same sort of greenish sheen as the Noodlers EI and Air-Corp. I've never heard of that ink before!

I think it's only expected that an ink like Swishers which is specially formulated to be fast drying would feather on cheap paper such as the 20 lbs. HP used in the test.

Thanks for the review! Looks like all the teal elements in the Ellis Island sink right to the bottom of the jar. This further underscores the need for most of these inks to be shaken like crazy to get consistent results.

The big swatches are very helpful. There are some colors here I've been interested in and I see now that I can get something very close by mixing what I already have.

Wow, Kurt, this is a great comparison, very informative. Thanks!

Please tell us about the Marteau; a title search only turned up this thread!!

Do you have Diamine Monaco Red, and how would you compare it to the Lestat?

Indeed, Kurt, thank you so much for these scans. Comparisons like this are very helpful.

Blessings,
Dave
