Hello everybody,
I am new to this forum having discovered it whilst researching my new pen. I love fountain pens and don't write with anything else anymore. I'm not a collector as such, indeed I only own a couple of pens. I have just ordered a Conway Stewart Wellington as a replacement for my CS Churchill. I loved the Churchill with the exception of the lever fill mechanism. I was not happy with this from day one - indeed I returned it to CS shortly after I purchased it. They replaced the lever and sac and returned the pen in a beautiful satin-lined leatherette box with a compliments slip within two weeks. Great, you might think, however the repair did not seem to improve matters for any great length of time - this being the miserly amount of in the pen took onboard.
So, with regret, I have traded it against the Wellington, in the hope that the converter filler works with a little bit more reliabiliity. My new pen is due in around 7/10 days and I'll be using my Pelikan M405 in the interim period. I'll let you know what my impressions are on the Wellington when it arrives.
Regards

http://www.mvburke.com/newproducts/wellingtonseries.htmI've ordered the Classic Green. I must admit I am very indecisive and pondered long and hard before I made my choice. Looking forward to receiving it sometime next week.
Cheers

Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy your new pen. Had a similar experience with my Duro (button filler), seemed to take up very little ink (and the button is a bit uncomfortable to use), anyway went back to CS, seems to take up a bit more ink now but still not as much as I think it should.
Still a nice looking pen which writes very well, just not one I would expect to last more than a few sheets pf paper on a refill (I think last time I tried I managed about 5-6, which didn't seem much).
Anyway enjoy the forums and let us know how you get on with the new pen.
