Hello- one of the gaping holes in my collection is in the range of Flat Top type pens- especially Sheaffer Flat Tops and Parker Duofolds, - that sort of thing. I'm basically looking for a celluloid 1920s (though I would consider a rubber Waterman 52 if the nib were very rigid and smooth) type flat top (or something similar). The size I'm looking for is a medium sized pen for a man- nothing really small, and nothing oversized. I'm looking for something restored, but within a grade for use rather than pure collection. I like fine to medium nibs that are smooth and quite rigid. The price range I'm thinking of is under $85- this is flexible a little bit, but not too much. I'm not set on any particular brand- but it should be a nice pen with a smooth, rigid fine-medium nib (and in the ballpark of the requirements above).
In the alternative I'd also consider a full girth, full sized Sheaffer Balance lever fill in black with the nib criteria above.
I'm open to the above- let me know of anything in that general ballpark. Thanks.
