Full Version: Does anyone have a photo of them using a VP?

I'm thinking of buying a VP, probably a Decimo and I'm slightly concerned about whether the clip will interfere with my grip. I've checked the reviews in the index and didn't see one, but does anyone have a photo of them holding their VP? I don't know of anywhere I can test one out so I thought a photo would be the next best thing! Thank you!

What do you mean by "you didn't see one?" As in you didn't see any pictures of the decimo/capless or you didn't see any reviews of the decimo/capless? If its the latter, reviews of the decimo can be found here and here.

I saw pictures, but no pictures of anyone holding the pen in their hand so I wondered if I had missed one or if anyone might be kind enough to post one on the board. smile.gif

You just don't notice the clip. It's kinda surprising.

Ooh... I like the pink! biggrin.gif

I was *very* worried about the clip when I bought a Decimo... but I ended up not noticing it at all.

Thank you so much Celeste, those pictures are just what I was looking for! I was worried that the little indentation on the clip would force me to hold the pen too far towards the nib for my comfort but I can see now that it doesn't do that.

Thanks again for sharing your pictures. I hope they will be put in the review index as I think they will be useful to other prospective VP owners! thumbup.gif

I don't think pictures will help. It depends on your own grip. The clip doesn't bother me at all because of the way I hold a pen. It's unusable for some people.

You're right -- you have to have a very standard grip to be able to use a VP. Anyone who likes to curl their top finger across the pen will have trouble. I have a standard size of VP, with the larger barrel. I find the larger barrel to work very well in forcing my grip far enough apart that I don't notice the clip. I'm not so certain I would like one of the more slender versions.

I was very worried about the clip, to. The Decimo pictures looked like the slimmer clip would be less obtrusive. I now own 3 Decimos, and love them all. (I guess it would be hard to hate one and like another cool.gif ).

As someone else just mentioned, as long as you have a "normal" or "standard" grip, the clip just doesn't present a problem. Mystifying, but true. The push-button action is just so convenient that it's hard to describe. There are other pens I like more, but none are so convenient.

Wow, I've never seen a pen being held with a finger curled around the section! I love the varying possibilities of pen holding.

The standard VP clips I do feel (what I think is a pretty standard grip), but the Decimo clip just doesn't obtrude at all--I don't feel it. I've seen others say the same, but photos, and trying it should help you decide. Good luck!
