without the stamp they will charge you, for the 149 i think it is 300 for the nib last time i asked and they also charge you labor.
It was $30 this past summer to swap my Chopin nib. Mont Blanc will send you an estimate for the work, which you sign and fax or mail back to them with payment and then they'll go to work. I took about 2 weeks from start to finish.
If it's just $30, it's not that bad at all. In the same time, I am really getting into that B nib, though I would be happier if it produces a narrower line. The feeling is so super buttery-smooth that I am afraid I am going to be really sorry and badly missing it if I change the B nib to M. I went today to Jay's Luggage Store, where they have a special stand for MBs, and touched paper with their M-nib Mozart and Meisterstuck 143 (my obsession with MBs made the salesman blush, but it's his problem, not mine). It did not feel the same, so it was peasant too. They did not have the Chopin though. How does it feel with different nibs? Chemist, could you tell me?
Worldlux have the best price for the Chopin now with free 3-day delivery, sounds very tempting.
