Hello,
I was wondering if Visconti honors warranties on their products when they are purchased from online vendors. If there, are there certain dealers that I should stick too?
Thanks!
EDIT: Does it matter that I live in Canada?

if the supplier is an authorised Visconti supplier, then there is no reason for them not to honour their worldwide warranty (even in Canada biggrin.gif )

Getting 'em to do it might be another matter!

I agree with Roger. All you need do is ask the vendor if they are an authorized seller. I know off hand that some are, like Swisher and Fountain Pen Hospital. I am sure there are a lot more. Your living in Canada should not impact negatively on the warranty. If it does, I for one would be very surprized.

All original Visconti pens are covered by international warranty, which should come with the pen, stamped by the authorized dealer who sold it.
Therefore, it's not important WHERE you buy it.

Oh goodie. I was fearing that cross border purchases would be discouraged by voiding warranties.

As a note, you're the only dealer I've dealt with who consistently stamps the warranty booklet. I have bought many authorized pens (not just Visconti), and almost none of them are stamped where they're supposed to be.

I think it's my duty... I'm at customers' disposal for any needs they could have for the pens I sold.
Moreover, I always open boxes and check pens before shipping, therefore it's a little work also to open the booklet and stamp it...

I added you to my "favorites" list under pens when I saw your earlier post... and I think you just moved up on my list of preferred vendors.

Too bad all sellers don't feel the way you do.

I bought a Visconti Manhattan second hand from a collector. It was leaking where the section meets the barrel. I sent it to the US distributor, who sent it to the factory in Italy for repair. It came back working perfectly, with no charge.
