I was in MaiDo in SF this weekend and saw a Sailor I hadn't seen before. The tag said it was a Sailor Profit but not much else. I couldn't get a pic of it but I did get the model number:
11-3021-420
Looks a bit like a 1911, MATTE black w/ gold accents, "Founded 1911 Sailor Japan" on the cap band, 1911 21k 875 H - M on the nib.
I don't see that model# on Sailors website so I thought I'd ask here. Anyone have some information on this pen? Actual model name, specifications, etc.?

It is Profit 21 Matte Black. It's on Sailor's Japanese website. I think it's just like other Profit series except the barrel is in matte finish.

Babelfish does an OK job of getting the basic idea across, but since I can't read japanese I can't tell too much about the nib since that text is in an image. I wonder what makes this model the high-end Profit compared to the others. Also I see you can special order a left-handed version which I find very interesting since I'm a lefty.
Short of running into Mr. Nagahara somewhere, can anyone recommend a shop where I can get Sailor nibs altered for lefties?

I'm not sure why this is the best among Profit series, either. Maybe the extra step to make the barrel matte finish?
Here's the Sailor's site for Matte Black. It's available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium Fine, Medium, and Broad nibs.
