Good morning everyone,
I am looking for brown/sienna colored ink for my Lamy Safari (and possibly also for my Pilot Black Knight). I've heard of Noodler's and Private Reserve, but I wanted to make sure they were ok to use in my Safari. My Safaris have a M and F nibs, and my Pilot has an M.
I'd rather have something somewhat permanent since I write mostly letters for my wife, kids and other family and friends. I'd like the brown because of the 'antique' look it gives, but any suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks,
Armando

Waterman Havana Brown or Visconti Brown, but I don't believe either one is permanent (at least not in the sense of being waterproof).

I think you will be fine with any ink you choose for the Lamy Safari. They're tough, modern converter pens and certainly don't have a reputation for being finicky.

I agree with the last post. Everything that I've put in the Safari worked very well. Even less nib creep with Noodler's in the Safari than I usually experience with Noodler's in other pens.

A Safari should handle anything you throw at it. If you're looking for something waterproof, go with a Noodlers. FPN Galileo Manuscript Brown is a good rust colored WP ink. There are some regular WP Noodlers in brown as well as some special one for Swishers, Pendemonium, etc.

Armando,
I have Noodler's Kiowa Brown which is nearly bullet proof. Nice medium brown with some lighter touches. I have it in a medium Rotring Initial and am quite happy with the color. There golden brown is also near bullet proof.
