I know there's been a recent review on this Fp, but if any of you guys has used it on a daily basis, I'd like to ask what's your oopinion on the "feeling" and overall quality of the pen. I would hate to pay the tag price for a cheap plastic sensation, it affects my writing experience no matter how nice the nib is.
Thanks.

I have two Cross Verves, the platinum and the merlot -- they are wonderful writers and I love using them (not to mention that I think they're very sexy looking with those great nibs). They're very reliable.

I have the Selenium. My only beef with it is that it runs a little short for my liking, even posted, despite my small hands. Other than that, it's reliable, classy looking and the B nib suits me. I've ended up making it a purse pen.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I've got the impression from the review that the material may not be up to the price. I will take a second look. (And, hoe do you know my handwritting can take a little extra "sexy" in order to improve? smile.gif).
Thanks again.

I just got my Selenium Blue Verve. To me, it seems a little unfinished about the join, in ways I have read about elsewhere in this forum. The edge of the cap seems a little thin, perhaps an illusion brought about by the fact it is partially painted and partially bare metal. The retainer bumps are kind of tinny looking. And the join is not precise. It is not pleasant to close, but requires a bit of force.

And yet in spite of all that, I am enjoying the pen. I like its heaviness and the clean action of the nib, which writes very smoothly but gives me excellent feedback. I think this is going to be like a Targa to me--ugly at first, but an increasingly regular part of my stable.

Overall, if I were spending the money, I would get a Pelikan or a Parker, both of which are beautifully finished. But I like this pen a lot. Steve
