Hi,

I am going to get a Visconti pen soon and I know that it comes with a bottle of Visconti Black Ink. I have fallen in love with Aurora inks of late and have been using the blue ink exclusively (haven't tried AUrora black). SInce Visconti will provide me with a free bottle black, I was hesitant to go off and buy another Aurora black.

Yet, I have not seen any reviews of Visconti black. Who here has used Visconti black? And if so, how do you like it? Is it black enough? The Aurora blue is absolutely wonder with rich glow and flow. I heard Aurora black is equally impressive. I am just curious about Visconti... I know I will try it out in a few daysd but I can't wait!!

I have two bottles due to buying Van Gogh's and have to say i like the ink. It is not as saturated as i would like but then again it was free. wink.gif
All in all,i find it an average black and that it does it's job admirably.

I have never purchased a bottle of Visconti Black ink, because, like you, I am happy with other black inks that I have (Aurora, Pelikan, Dupont, Sailor, and, to a lesser extent, Montblanc, Omas, and Waterman).

However, I have about 5 bottles of Visconti Black that came with various Viscont pens I have purchased. I think I opened only one bottle and used it once or twice. My impression is that it is a perfectly acceptable black ink, not as jet black as Aurora or Pelikan, but not as thin as Montblanc or Waterman. In other words, it's a fairly middle-of-the-pack black ink.

Visconti Blue, on the other hand, is a truly great ink! Too bad Visconti doesn't give this one away with their pens!

I use a Wtaerman black but I have the Visconti, and after making a quick comparison I prefer the Watermans. The Watermans seems to flow easier in a couple of my temperamental pens.

Handlebar: please show us a photo of one of your winter hats. I'm guessing you have one in light gray, one in charcoal, and one in either olive or brown.
