Hi everyone.

I know that a lot of my clients have been itching for sections made from solid ebonite, rather than the standard injected plastic.

I have taken this concept past the prototype stage, and I'm currently offering them for $30.

For current owners, you can simply upgrade for $30, or a complete pen can be ordered with the ebonite section and $30 will be added to the cost.

I have not discontinued the injected plastic sections. The ebonite sections are an upgrade.

They are available in black, red/black, and green/black ebonite.

More details here...

Thanks,

Brian

Indeed! This makes for an even more attractive pen. Can't wait to pick one of these up myself.

I know this is slightly off topic, but i'm very interested in the herald, and am used to using Sailor nibs (and their degree of smoothness). Ca anyone tell me what would be the closest nib to match this, as I haven't used any of the nibs on the website.

many thanks

Brian -

That looks great. Are you going to the next Neo-Penn Club meeting? If so, you may need to bring a green-black section with you...... unsure.gif

As for the nib question: I don't know about Sailor nibs, so I will not be of much help.

The nib that comes with the Pencraft will be tuned up by Brian and will match your Sailor as to smoothness (in both cases, it's Iridium that touches the paper). The only thing is that the Sailor will be finer (narrower) and it might be hard to find the exact width if you like XF nibs (but you will have that problem with any nib).

I ordered a Bock with my Pencraft, which is a big gold nib, so it's got some flex - much more than the Sailor. But Brian sent me the stock nib also, which he tuned for me and I think that it writes great. Understand - I think Sailor makes the best production nib on the market, but I also think that these steel nibs can do the job once Brian puts his hands on them!

Thanks for the info. I will be ordering one shortly.
