Very nice and artsy!
Yeah, I agree that Luxury Blue tends to dry a bit dull, but I still like it a lot. And it is a Luxury. Worth it for me, though.

Wow, that is such a cool review. It's a cool ink too, even the label -- fat catfish driving the limo! I usually use Luxury Blue in my journal which is off-white or in letters (ecru) with a wet nibbed pen. It's a gorgeous deep blue on that paper. Even on white paper (I think this is Clairefontaine) it depends quite a bit on the nib...
Thanks for your review, please post more.

Great review! I like how Lux Blue looks on both the original post and on HDoug's scans. Mine looks more like a faded denim color, which I am not too fond of when it comes to ink. I prefer something stormier, muddier, murkier. I've mixed mine with Hunter Green and Semiola Sepia to produce some nice colors that I can actually use, but do not use it on its own. In my experience, Lux Blue flows and behaves extremely well and mixes with other inks without complications.

What I fun review! Wish I could draw a straight line!

I have friends who enjoy this ink for it's conservative qualities.

I just wanted to add here that the paper that I used was cold pressed watercolor paper.
Thanks for everyone's replies!

Hi all,
I bought some Luxury Blue a couple of weeks ago principally because it's "bulletproof" and is, therefore, suitable for use on envelopes. The colour did almost nothing for me at all; the new BS Blue is much closer to what I wanted. However, this shade of blue is growing on me. Doug H is right, it does vary according to nib and paper. Although I can't get it to go beyond a fairly pale tone I'm really sold on this ink.

Thanks to everyone for posting their comments on Luxury Blue. I was tempted to buy it based on other reviews and images online. Unfortunately, I find that 'washed out denim' would be a more appropriate name. I've tried in several pens: Waterman Phileas, Visconti Van Gogh, and a cheap Duke pen, all with similar results on a Rhodia pad, on an Office Depot legal pad, and on glossy laser stock. In general, I like Noodler's ink, but this one didn't win me over.
