Full Version: Which model do I have?

A friend of mine has given me her recently deceased husband's fountain pen and asked me to sell it and give the money to charity. Not having any better ideas, I plan to put it up on eBay but have no idea how to describe it. Could someone help, please?

My only clues as to what it is are as follows:

1. It was bought in Harrods on Christmas Eve 1989
2. It is black with gold trimmings. The nib is also gold.
3. The enclosed 'Use and Care Guide' (which also has instructions for Ballpoints, rolling balls, pencils etc.) has photos of 3 nibs. From this I think the pen has what it describes as a 'trim Fashion nib'.
4. There are 2 regular SKRIP ink cartridges in the box, although I'm pretty sure the pen has a converter in it for using bottled ink. On any case, I can't see how the cartridges would fit as the barrel seems too narrow for them.
5. The diameter of the base of the pen is 7mm

If anyone can tell me the model and suggest a sensible way of describing it to people who know something about pens I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

A photo would help a lot.

A closeup (use a macro setting) of the nib would probably help.

Looks to me like the TRZ that I have around- mine is about that vintage too.

This pen appears to take the "slim" Skrip cartridges which are becoming harder to find- I don't think they make those any more. There was a converter you could get for these too- it was a squeeze if I recall.

My TRZ has the same nib- unmarked and gold in color. Try doing a search for TRZ on google or here and see what comes up.
