This ink was sent to me from Oregon and there's only about a half ounce left in the jar. It's just fun to get to write with something so old! This jar is one of the Cubes, so it's not old old old, but it's old enough to be my age. rolleyes.gif I should scan the jar...hummm....look for that later...
I can't tell you about flow, I've not loaded it in my pens. I've just dipped my pens. Partially because I just don't have much of this ink, so I don't want to lose any. I think it's a fun color, I like the Beaver Brown just a little better (I'll review that one later...I have almost two whole ounces of that one!). This ink has some nice shading, which is kinda hard to see in the scan and it's slightly waterproof. Let me know if ya'll have any questions about this ink....

Elo Celeste,

It's a really nice brown. it neither too dark like noodler's walnut nor too red like the galileo. although it has a red tinge in the brush stroke, it doesn't show in written letters. it seems to have nice shading too.

Thanks for sharing. : )

End of line.

Thank you very much for posting this. It's always great to see these vintage inks.

All the samples (apart from Noodlers) look very "burgundy" on my monitor, but would I be right in thinking that the Waterman Havana is the closest modern match to the two Carter's inks?

That's fascinating. It even looks old.

It makes me wonder if today's dyes are so vivid that we can no longer make a color that looks like that?

Nice review!
