I would like to buy a Levenger pocket briefcase. User grade is fine as long as the stitching is intact. I would prefer a non-folding model, but wouldn't rule out the rest.
PM me with details (colour, model condition etc.) and prices including shipping to the UK (by USPS please)
Thanks a lot
Andy

Andy if you are offered one of the folding models and choose to pass on it, please PM me with the details.
The young lady who waits on me at the coffee shop has been admiring mine when I pay, and the last time I was in she wanted to know where I got it. I have a Levenger catalog to give her, but since she and her husband are saving up to buy a house I'm not sure she would be willing to pay the $58 Levenger wants for a new one. Thanks.

Not that it helps you at all but I got one of these (non-folding) for Christmas and it has quickly become something that I do not leave the house without. I believe that with the monogram they are about $38. Well worth it. They are a quality item. I looked around at cheaper ones prior to getting the Levenger and the others just didnt feel quite as nice.

I MIGHT have one at home. I'll look this weekend and if so I'll give it to you.

Have you checked the
FranklinCovey Leather Index Card Holder, a clone of the folding pocket briefcase? You can get it at OfficeDepot for $16. Also, for the non-folding, Staples used to have some very affordable imitations (Note Jotters).

If anyone has unloved or unused pocket briefcases in pretty colors (no black, no brown), I'm interested in them. I have four or five in the "fashion" colors.

If you have a Hartmann outlet store nearby, I bought a leather jotter for $30.

I was looking at the Levenger Pocket Briefcase as a way to carry 3x5 index cards in my attempt to organize with a "Getting Things Done" system. They look very nice but the price was a bit high for the simplifying I was trying to achieve. Then I found this Florentine Napa Leather Foldover Note Jotter at www.briefcase.com that was exactly what I had in mind and the price was right at $20.00. It is attractive, well put together and more than equal to my purposes. The site proved a bit hard for me to search but you'll find a lot of different models and styles by looking for 'Nappa Jotter". I'm not endorsing the company, just happy with the product.

Thanks Kip. The trouble is the shipping: -
USPS Global Express ($50.00): (Includes processing, packing and shipping time)
* 3-10 business days to the following countries: Argentina; Austria; Australia; Aruba; Barbados; Belgium; Bermuda; Brazil; Bahamas; .....snip..... United Kingdom; and Venezuela
I am in the UK
I have just had a 3 pen case shipped from the US for $4. OK, it wont be by USPS Global Express, but lack of shipping choices can kill a deal like this.
Thanks for all of the answers otherwise from everyone else.

For what it's worth I ordered a variety of stuff (nothing weighty) from Levenger and then got a shippng quote of $127.
They were politely informed that I would not be completing the order.

Yes, I had the same problem with their Circa stuff. I looked for a punch in the UK and I could get a Rollabind one for £60 ($120). In the end I managed to get a Rollabind desk punch and about 300 discs from a US citizen living in Poland for £30 ($60). All new!
Levenger are legendary for their shipping rates. Their excuse is that they do it through a 3rd party I believe. It is such a shame as their products are generally highly regarded.
For anyone interested in an alternative to Circa, Myndology have just announced the availability of their desk punches.

I think that I got the same deal from the same guy!

How astonishing that the cost would be that high! Your politeness is most commendable.

Levenger's shipping costs are a minimum of 10% of the order even within the US. It's really amazing. I have a lot of stuff of theirs, but I tend to buy it when there's sales, which also saves on shipping.
